Classes: Yoga, Taiji Quan, Qigong
This class is inspired and influenced by Vinyasa Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Tai Chi. It is designed not only to amplify the practice of intermediate yogis, but also to strengthen and mobilize those who are still beginning to practice yoga. The class provides space, facilitation and insight for all levels of practice due to its present influences from different somatic healing practices.
This class follows the criteria of the South African Health Qigong Association (SAHQA) which is an affiliate of the International Health Qigong Federation (IHQF) in China. The class focuses on different sequences of gentle movement and breathing patterns that promote holistic health and well-being. This class is a peak into the vast system of qigong and is open to all genders and ages. It provides simple insights into easy-to-do exercises at home to further aid your well-being.
TAIJI QUAN FOR BEGINNERS
Tai chi is an ancient practice known for both its martial and health benefits/aspects. This class is open to people who would like to try this internal martial art for the first time. The Tai Chi taught is Yang style from the Great Grandmaster C’hen Man Ching’s lineage, transmitted to Adriana through her master Shifu Dr. Jeff Lan. This class emphasises alignment, posture/stance, alert relaxation, holistic body-mind-spirit harmony and aids in enhancing and maintaining general wellbeing.
